We had an uneventful flight from Chicago to Hong Kong. It was not a full flight, so we had an entire row for just the two of us which gave us plenty of room to stretch out. We both managed to get several hours of sleep on the flight and have adjusted well to the 12 hour time difference.
We met 3 of the other 6 families traveling with us. One of the families is flying in from Montana so they were not on our flight. The other two families missed their flight out of Chicago due to storms.
Once we got off the plane we were greeted by our guide Joanne. She is the same guide as when we adopted Kylie almost three years ago. The airport restaurant served duck with the head still on it (see photo).
The weather is 79 degrees, gray and very humid. The Regal Kowloon Hotel is 40 minutes from the airport and is very nice. We went to the 7-11 to buy bottles of water and a phone card. Afterwards we met up with the other families and ate at a nearby Outback Steakhouse. The bloomin onion was good, the chicken fingers not.
Tomorrow we leave the hotel at 8:15 a.m. for an all-day tour of Hong Kong and a dim sum lunch. I'll post more later when I have a chance.
We miss you, Kylie!! Have fun at Chuck E. Cheese's with Nai Nai and Papa Jim.

We are so suprised to find your blog updated so quickly. I can't even figure out how to email you pictures of Kylie from the laptop. So glad you called this morning to let us know you arrived save and sound. Kylie is doing great but lets me know once in a while that she misses her mama and daddy. She talks a lot about "her baby Sophie". Love you and miss you.
PS: we played with Playdough last night, I think all the stains will come out of Miss Ying's clothes (just kidding.)
